AuditSoft automatically converts the results of your evidence-gathering activities into a score for each audit question.

How scoring works

When you complete a question (e.g., through Review of Documentation), the system evaluates the evidence and applies built-in scoring rules to assign a score. For example, if all applicable documentation meets the required criteria, the system may award a score of 5/5.

Scoring rules

There are two types of scoring used in AuditSoft:

1. All-or-Nothing

The question is scored either with full points or zero, based on whether a minimum threshold is met.

If the threshold (typically 70% or 100% positive indicators) is reached, full points are awarded.

If not, the question receives zero points.

2. Range-Based

The score is proportional to the number of positive indicators.

For example, if 73% of the criteria are met, the system might award 7/10 or 15/20, depending on the question’s point value.

These automatic scoring rules help ensure consistency across audits while giving auditors real-time feedback on performance.
