A license is the key to starting and submitting your audit. If we’re looking to a visual representation of this relationship between the license and the audit, we could say that the license is a building permit, and the audit is the construction project.
Imagine you’re a contractor. You’ve built for this client before, you know the layout. Every time you begin a new construction project, you still need a new permit.
The same goes for the license. Every time you start a new audit, you need to purchase/request a new license.
Where can I find my license?
Left Side (Orange in image) – License: This where you find the license, named after the Legal Name of the company being audited, this name is created when you purchase a license. If you need to change the name of your license, please contact support@auditsoft.co
Right Side (Blue in image)– Recent File: this file is generated by clicking on the license and is named when you first save the file. This can be renamed at any time on your PC (documents, desktop etc...)
Back-end Mechanics:
We’ll let you in on a little secret, every file is tied to a license via an ID number. We can tell, from our end, what license was used to generate your file. This means, by the time you call us and given us the account information, we can tell if your license and your file match up.

If you happen to be working on a file and get to the submit page, and you find a statement that looks a little like this, you’ve gone too far, and made a file from a used license:
Tip: Never duplicate and old file for a new audit, you may think you’re cutting down your work, but you used an old license that cannot be submitted. Your work will double in response because you’ll have to restart a new file, and take all the information from one audit, and paste it into to the new file.
