The Alberta Municipality Health and Safety Association’s (www.AMHSA.net) mission is to guide municipal employers and workers in implementing effective occupational health, safety, and environment (HSE) management systems, data-driven prevention campaigns, and to support the effective transfer of knowledge through classroom, virtual instructor led, and self-paced learning. AMHSA acts as a Certifying Partner in the Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) Program.

Timing

Data Gathering and Report Writing

  • Auditors have a maximum of 45 calendar days from the Audit Start Date (when documentation is received for review) to complete data gathering activities.

  • Auditors must submit the final audit report to AMHSA within 21 calendar days from the Audit End Date(completion of data gathering activities). Extensions for report writing can be requested for extenuating circumstances by emailing [email protected].

Submitting your audit

Submit

  • All COR audits are to be submitted to AMHSA by December 1st.

  • Save a copy of the final report (see Export and manage PDF report)

  • Email the saved final report along with any attachments to [email protected] to start the quality assurance review process.

IMPORTANT: If the audit will be used for Auditor Qualification, include the AuditSoft Audit file (ending in extension .asa) when submitting the audit. You must also include the .asa file if you do not quantify the percentage of positive indicators in interview justification notes within the audit report.

Quality Assurance

  • AMHSA will review the submitted audit and will request revisions if required.

  • After the Quality Assurance review, the auditor may be given a list of required revisions. The updated audit must be resubmitted within 15 calendar days.

  • Multiple rounds of revisions are allowed but cannot exceed 90 days total.

Provide a copy to the client

IMPORTANT: Do not provide a copy of the report to the client until you receive approval from AMHSA. The auditor is responsible to provide the client with a copy of the approved audit report after AMHSA’s quality assurance audit review process is completed.
