If the message "Could not save file" appears in AuditSoft, it signifies the program is unable to write the file to your chosen save location. This occurs when a network path is unavailable or restricted.

  1. Check your save location

Make sure the folder you saving to exists and is accessible. If you're using a USB stick, external drive, or shared network drive, confirm its connected and not write-protected.

  2. Save to your local hard drive

The quickest fix is to select the save dropdown and click Save As and select a folder such as Documents or Desktop. This will avoid issues with disconnect or restricted drives.

  3. Check permissions

If saving locally still does not work, ensure you have permission to write to the folder on your device and do not include special characters.

  4. Contact Support

If the problem still persists, take a screenshot of the error and email [email protected].
